Martha was my best friend since we were seniors, and the best prostituting attorney HHS ever saw.  I miss her everyday.

Martha was my sister-in-law, but even before that, she taught me a lot about opening my eyes and my mind, not only to accepting people for who they are, but also for seeing the bigger picture about life.

Martha was my sister-in-law.  Amongst the many things she taught me, she was brave enough to teach me how to drive a stick shift! :-)

Martha had been my best buddy since 1st grade. She came from a background of poverty, never wanted me to visit her at her house on a dead end lane near Foreman school. She was one of the funniest, smartest, sweetest and most caring people I have known. Her mouth moved at 90 mph, I think because she thought so fast! You wouldn't want to debate her. She was my campaign manager for Mayor of Hobart High School, and that's why we won.

So sad to lose her. I think about her often.

OH MY GOD! I have just learned of Martha's passing!  She was and is a GREAT LADY.  She, Phil Stafford and I were the "gruesome twosome plus one"  I was the plus one (thanks, Phil, for allowing me into your special club).  Anyway, we ruled in Spanish II, III, And IV in Mr Neff's class.  And , yes, Martha talked faster than anyone.  Listening to her prepped me for my summer in Mexico.   She could say, "There goes Wheeler" faster than you could drive through it at 90 mph!  And that's the truth.....     C U soon, my friend!!!

I knew Martha since 3rd grade at Foreman School. I knew where she lived & I know she was ashamed. Her home was little more than a shack near the rairoad tracks. She had a heart of gold & I am proud to have called her "friend". I ran into her at Burger King here in Matteson, Ill & learned that she worked at the Ludeman Center. We met for lunch several times after that & yes...Martha could talk 2 miles a minute! She came from poverty and went on to college, married, & had a job that she liked, who could ask for anything more?
