OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JUNE 18, 2008:

MICHAEL LEE BLASZKIEWICZ Henderson, Nevada Formerly Valparaiso, Indiana Michael Lee Blaszkiewicz, age 55, passed away May 29, 2008, at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 28, 1952 to Bernard James and Evelyn Vernette (Stark) Blaszkiewicz. He was a graduate of Hobart High School and served in the National Guard. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 30 years of service and was currently employed at Southpoint Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He was a former member of the Rusty Pipes and member of the American Legion.

Michael is survived by his children: Kelly (Bud) Welsh, Jennifer Blaszkiewicz, Anthony Blaszkiewicz; 4 grandchildren, Kara, Tyler, Elizabeth, and Alexis; and former wife Sharon (Wiggins) Blaszkiewicz; brothers, Richard (Maria) and Steven (Connie) Blaszkiewicz.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th at 12 p.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 N. Kelly St., Hobart, IN, where Michael was a lifelong member. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family. Dearly loved, sadly missed.
