Patricia Maxine Popp (Zieseniss) - Class Of 1971

OBITUARY FROM THE NW INDIANA TIMES, JUNE 21, 2007:

Patricia Maxine (Pate) Popp-Zieseniss, age 53, formerly of Monticello/Buffalo, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, IL. Born August 21, 1953 in Hobart, IN to Louis E. Popp, Sr. and Shirley A. Kasarda. She resided in Buffalo/Monticello areas for 30 years.

She is survived by parents Louis E. and Shirley A. Popp, Sr. of Hobart, IN; daughter Jamie (E.J.) Dosier of Monon, IN; son John E. Zieseniss, Jr of Monticello, IN; grandchildren: Amanda, Caleb and Derek all at home in Monon, IN; sisters: Lorriane (Bill) O'Mally of Las Vegas, NV, Helen (Monte) Blane of Hobart, IN, Lene (Gary) Behrens of Chesterton, IN and Laine Kasarda of Valparaiso, IN; brothers: Louis E. "Butch" (Faye) Popp Jr., of Valparaiso, IN and Lance (April) Popp of Hobart, IN; former husband John E. Zieseniss Sr. of Logansport, IN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 543 S. Main St. Monticello, IN at 11:00 a.m. EST. with Father James Goodrum of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church officiating. Entombment will be at the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lafayette, IN. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, IN. A Rosary Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. All of these times are E.S.T. Times.

Pat was a 1971 graduate of Hobart High School in Hobart, IN, and also attended Ivy Tech in Valparaiso, IN. She had lived in the Monticello/Buffalo areas for 30 years. Pat and her former husband John, owned and operated Bright Janitorial Services and Bright Enterprises, Inc., in Buffalo, IN for several years. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello, IN, she was a devote catholic. Pat was also a member of circle within the church. She was a former member of the Liberty Township Ladies, Aux.. Pat enjoyed playing the organ, bunko, line dancing, cooking, fishing, and especially playing with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping out with 4-H, her daughter Jamie was in everything and didn't have a choice but to help. Pat was a horse-show mom. She loved music of all kinds, and especially loved country music. She was the office manager at Omni Tech in Valparaiso, IN.
