Phillip K. Shain, 22, of 1212 W. Cleveland Ave., Hobart, Indiana, was killed on Thursday in an auto-train accident in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born in Owensboro and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Shain, Sr., of Hobart, a brother, Andrew Shain, Jr. at home; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Carson Shain, maternal grandmother, Katheryn Trogden, and a great-grandmother, Zona Smith, all of Owensboro.

Services at Assembly of God Church, Hobart. Burial in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
