Daniel Sayger - Class Of 1987

OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE, FEBRUARY 23, 2011

Sayger, Daniel age 41 of Chicago, formerly of Hobart and a proud Brazilian citizen passed away February 19, 2011. He received a Bachelors Degree in Education from Indiana University Northwest and a Masters degree in English as a Second Language from the University of Illinois, Chicago campus and taught classes at the Chicago Discovery Academy where he was an ESL Coordinator. Dan loved being an educator and especially his new role working with ESL students. He loved his music and playing his guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dan is preceded is death by his parents Mildred and Richard Sayger and his beloved pet Walleye. He is survived by his wife Etiene Pinto; son Atila Pinto; brother Ted Sayger; sister Sandi (Gregory) Gordon, nieces Rashida and Ashley and nephews Gregory, Jr., and Elijah.

A Time of Sharing will be Friday, February 25, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart, IN. "Concert Attire Welcomed !"
