My biggest memory of Dellwood was as the guy who shot up about a foot in height between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next. Can't remember if that was in Jr. High, or High School, though. Couldn't believ how tall he got!
Dell ran track & Xcountry for HHS. He was part of our 1964 record setting mile relay team along with Jim Lovall, Jim Grudzinski & me. The record stood for 25 + years! I remember Dell as always being quiet and soft spoken and an excellent competitor.
Dellwood and I would frequent the "Chapel of the Dunes" in Miller. Classic times from a classic era, especially when "Oscar and the Majestics" were playing. Right out of "American Graffiti."
