Don Indrysek - Class Of 1967

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, OCTOBER 24, 2010

DONALD P. INDRYSEK, Age 61, a resident of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was born on October 18, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Victor and Alfrieda Indrysek. Don was a 1967 graduate of Hobart High School. He then received two degrees from Purdue University in Bio-Chemistry and Chemistry. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Security Branch and was fluent in Russian. Don was an accomplished writer who had several short stories published in western magazines. He also enjoyed painting still life and portraits, enjoyed photography, and woodcarving. Don also loved to read and cook. Don was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend to all.

Don is survived by his loving family, mother, Alfrieda Indrysek, Portage; sister, Carol (Don) Springman, Valparaiso; brother, Greg Indrysek, Little River, SC; many loving nieces and nephews, and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Indrysek; and a sister, Arlene Indrysek.
