OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, FEBRUARY 4, 2008:

Riley L. Vickrey, age 58, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008. Riley was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and a 1967 graduate of Hobart High School. He had been the Greens Superintendent at Gleason Park Golf Course in Gary for 20 years. Riley enjoyed camping at Potato Creek.

Riley is survived by his loving companion of 21 years, Pam Lain and her son, Michael Lain, 2 sons, Riley L. Vickrey, Jr., Tim Lucas of New Chicago, 8 siblings: James (Margie) Vickrey of New Chicago, IN, Samuel (Sharon) Wyatt of Valparaiso, Stanley (Celeste) Wyatt of Chesterton, Bobby (Bernice) Wyatt of Michigan, Shane (Missy) Wyatt of TN, Mark Vickrey of Indianapolis, IN, Ezra (Mildred) Vickrey of Portage, Marie (Bobby) Bing, and 2 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents James A & Mildred (nee Smith) Vickrey.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the family would be appreciated. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Bill Barrow officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 2-7 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
