OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, DECEMBER 13, 2004:

DONALD EUGENE SMITH, JR. "DONNY" Age 40, of Valparaiso for 2 years, formerly of Francesville, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2004, at the Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus. He was born on January 4, 1964, in Gary, Indiana to Donald Eugene Smith, Sr. and Barbara E. (Burden) Smith-Savord. Donald graduated in 1982 from Hobart High School and was a self-employed carpenter. Along with his woodworking, he enjoyed drawling and painting.

Donald is survived by his two daughters: Kayla Charise and Dana Haywood, both of Winamac, IN; two brothers, Steve (Laura) Smith of Valparaiso and Scott (Michelle) Smith of Medaryville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Brandon Eugene Smith.

Funeral services Wednesday, December 15, 2004, 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, with Rev. K.C. Graves, officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
