OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES:

Ted A. Crisman, 35, of Hobart, IN. passed away Saturday, November 29, 1997. Ted was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident. Graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1980 and formerly employed at Carpetland. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and lover of nature.

Survivors are father, Paul (Bettie) Crisman and mother, Carol (Ron) Retz; all of Hobart; four sisters, Susan Crisman, with whom he made his home in Hobart, Judi McMahon of Hobart, Luanne (Michael) Flynn of Mesa, AZ and Mickey (Jerry) Scott of Portage; three brothers, Danny (Linda) Crisman of North Carolina, Greg (Sue) Crisman of Valparaiso, Jeff (Kim) Crisman of Clarksville, TN; grandmother, Iola Shoumaker of Hammond; two step-brothers, Ron, Jr. and Todd Retz, both of Hobart; and step-sister Pam (Rick) Rau of East Hampton, Connecticut; three nieces and 12 nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN. with Rev. William Kaster officiating. Burial at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Friends may call on Tuesday 4 to 9 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
