OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MAY 20, 2004

Gary A. Unland, age 41, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2004, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Hobart, a member of the Local 692, N.R.A., H.O.G., and was an avid supporter of A.B.A.T.E. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful son, brother, and uncle.

Gary is survived by his parents, Bruce and Kay Unland of Hobart; sisters, Sheryl and Brenda Unland, both of Hobart, Debra Sturgill of Portage; nephews, Josh Unland, Dustin and Jacob Sturgill; grandmother, Marjorie Auxier; uncles, Ron (Margaret) Auxier of FL, Donald Auxier of Chicago, and Charles (Clara) Unland of Portage; aunt, Karen (Jeff) Robbins of Hobart; numerous cousins. Gary is preceded in death by his grandparents, Al and Katherine Unland, Sam Auxier; his best friend, Hawg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Memorial services will be private for family. Cremation will take place at Calvary Cemetery and Crematory, Portage. Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, assisting with arrangements. 219-942-2109.
