Paul Walsdorf III - Class Of 1980

OBITUARY INFORMATION FROM NW INDIANA TIMES WEBSITE:

Paul M. Walsdorf III, age 47 of Hobart, IN passed away at home on Friday, January 30, 2009 after a courageous 2 year battle with colon and liver cancer.

Paul was born on February 18, 1961 in Chicago, IL to the late Paul and Grace Walsdorf, Jr. Paul was a lifetime area resident and worked as a Machinist at Hammond Machine Works. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart, and a member of Ducks Unlimited and the South Lake County Agriccultural Historical Society. Paul enjoyed fishing and camping.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Sandy Walsdorf of Hobart, IN; two loving daughters: Amanda and Jennifer Walsdorf both of Hobart, IN; two brothers: John (Laurie) Walsdorf of Hobart, IN, Jeff (Jennifer) Walsdorf of Houston, TX; one sister, Cyndee (Scott) Millington of Decatur, IN; nieces and nephews: Andrew and James Walsdorf of Hobart, IN, Grant, Mahima, Maria, and Edin Millington of Decatur, IN, Meghan and David Walsdorf of Houston, TX; and his beloved companion, Kokoa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Grace Walsdorf, Jr.; his grandparents, John and LaVorna Strey; and one brother, Charles Walsdorf.

Funeral services are Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev Gary S. Nagy officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
