Georgia Mae Eagle (Tangeman) - Class Of 1954

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 30, 2013:

Georgia Mae Tangeman, 76, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013. She was born on December 24, 1936 in Gary the daughter of the late Mark and Ann (Cibulka) Eagle. Georgia graduated from Hobart High School and attended both Indiana University Northwest and Valparaiso University. She was very active at church, a past member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Hebron and currently was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Valparaiso. Georgia was a talented seamstress. She made the Hebron Hawk Mascot costume and worked in costume design for the Star Plaza and on the set of “Prancer”. She was an avid reader, writer, and enjoyed her gambling trips to the boats.
 
Georgia is survived by her children: Kathy Tangeman of Valparaiso, Brian (Linda) Tangeman of Virginia, Carol (David) Sawyer of Illinois and Bruce (Betty) Tangeman of Alaska; sister, Annette (Bob) Horst; nephews: Michael and Mark Horst; and nieces: Laurie Robinson, Lynn Horst, and Lucie Whitlow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maynard “Bud” Tangeman.
 
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso with Fr. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Cremation will follow at Angelcrest Crematory, Valparaiso.
