OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, FEBRUARY 19, 2010:

Donald J. Jelinek, age 74 of Lake Station, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010. A Lake Station resident since 1939, a retired employee of US Steel and EJ&E Railroad and worked at Illiana Motor Speedway for 40 years. Don was a US Marine Veteran. He was a graduate of Hobart High School Class of 1954.

He is survived by friends, Richard (Mary) Otterman, Hebron and Edward "Jack" Klug, Hobart.

Funeral Service Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery in Hobart.
