Shirley Jean (Sitzenstock) Essick passed away on September 11, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was born on April 9, 1936 in Hobart, Indiana to Ernest Sitzenstock and Myrtle Nelson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Faulkner and Florence Lytle; and brother, Raymond Sitzenstock. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Anthony Essick; daughter, Laurette Vinton (Paul); sons, Steven Essick (Deborah), Michael Essick (Cheryl); sister, Lucille Detterline; grandchildren, Shonda Donegan, Brandon, Christopher & Julie Essick; Serina McEntire (Ryan), David & D'Anna Saucedo. great-grandchildren, Sean & Rheana McEntire, Coco & Tripp Donegan; and numerous nieces & nephews.

SERVICES
Visitation will be on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Oak Hills Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 12:30pm at the Oak Hills Mortuary Chapel, with Fr. Tony Cummins & Pastor Kemper Huber officiating.
