OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, NOVEMBER 14, 2007:

Frank J. Shaginaw, age 71, passed away Monday, November 12, 2007. Frank had been a lifelong area resident and a Hobart resident for the past 40 years. He was a member of the Hobart High School Class of 1954. Frank retired from U.S. Steel as a roller in 1987 with 32 years of service. He was a former member of the Sportsman Club and the Glen Park Izaak Walton League. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leslie, of Hobart, IN; 2 children: John (Laura) Shaginaw of Hobart, IN, and Regina (Donald) Hammond of Portage, IN; 5 grandchildren: Patricia (Gary) Moss and Joseph Hammond, both of Portage, IN, Michelle Shaginaw, Christina Shaginaw and Holly Shaginaw, all of Hobart, IN. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carmella Shaginaw.

Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society or VNA Hospice of Valparaiso. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2007, 11:00 A.M. from Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Cremation to follow services.
