Janet Dillard (Rhodes) - Class Of 1962

OBITUARY FROM THE OBITSFORLIFE.COM WEBSITE:

Janet Lee Rhodes, 69, passed away on October 16, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on March 04, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to Albert and Lucy (Winkleman) Dillard.

Janet moved to Lake Havasu City 9 years ago, coming from Las Vegas, NV. where she lived for 10 years. She worked for many years as an insurance agent in Arizona and Las Vegas. Janet retired in 1999 due to health issues. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.

During her time here in Lake Havasu City she enjoyed the company of old friends and meeting new ones. Her church family meant the world to her. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She will surely be missed by all who loved her and knew her.

Janet is survived by her sons, John and Jim Gaydos; sister, JoAnne (Kenneth) Erwin; grandchildren, Sarah, Jennifer, Scott, Michaele, Samantha, Vina and Thomas; 2 nephews, 3 nieces and 6 great nephew and nieces and 3 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and an infant daughter.

Funeral service will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Chris Blythe officiating. Burial will be at Palm Cemetery in Las Vegas, NV. Contributions can be made in Janet's name to New Hope Baptist Church of the charity of your choice.

Janice Eickstead (Gerl) (1962)

I was so sorry to hear about Janet, we have been friends sense grad shool. She loved to have a good time and we all did-she had a way to make everyone feel at home. Now she is at rest and can bug the heck out of people in Heven, I will miss her e-mails.
