OBITUARY FROM MANSFIELD (OHIO) NEWS JOURNAL, NOVEMBER 19, 2008:
James "Jim" Anthony Enrico, 52, of Mansfield, died Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the Cleveland Clinic after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born January 5, 1956, in Gary, Indiana, he was the son of James Anthony Enrico, Sr. and Julia Wilk Enrico. Jim was employed at R.R. Donnelley & Sons for 29 years, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Greeley, Colorado, Scranton, Pennsylvania and the last 11 years in Willard as a Human Resource Manager. He was a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. He played college football at Butler University. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University basketball. Jim enjoyed playing sports, fantasy football and completing basketball brackets, winning the News Journal NCAA bracket a few years ago.
He enjoyed watching his son's high school football, basketball and his daughter's swimming meets as well as watching old television series and sci-fi movies, and listening to classic rock music. He loved coaching his children in their various sports and being involved in any activities they participated in throughout their lives. He will be remembered as a loving husband who was crazy in love with his wife and loved his children with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rebecca Enrico; three children, Alexander, Eric and Allyson Enrico; three sisters, Lorita (Norm) Bowgren of Valparaiso, IN, Susan (George) Meier of Knox, IN and Jamie (David) Brandenburg of Hobart, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dennis Allison officiating.
