Rosemary Bowman (Miko) - Class Of 1975

OBITUARY FROM THE IDAHO STATESMAN (BOISE, IDAHO) WEBSITE:

Rosemary Miko
November 2, 1956 - July 2, 2020

Boise, Idaho - On Thursday July 2, 2020, Rosemary Miko (Bowman), passed away from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease at the age of 63. Rosemary passed peacefully from this world into eternity with our Lord, at her home in Boise. She was surrounded by the love of her immediate family.
Rosemary was born November 2, 1956 to Lolita and George Bowman in Gary Indiana. She was the fourth of five children. She leaves behind a family who loves her deeply and misses her immensely. Rosemary is survived by her former husband and life long friend, Kirk Miko, her four children; Sarah, Carmen, Kirk and Luke, and her six grandchildren; Brayden, Elise, Vera, Cecilia, Olive, and Nolan. She also leaves behind her mother Lolita, her sister Carol, and her two brothers Rick and Mark. She is preceded in death by her father, and her brother George.

Rosemary grew up in Hobart, Indiana. When she was 17 years old she met Kirk who hired her for a lifeguarding position at Robinson Lake. In 1975 she graduated from Hobart High School, and in 1977 she married Kirk. Together they raised their four children, traveling around the country for school and work, settling in Idaho in 1995.

Rosemary was a passionate and generous person with an outrageously infectious laugh. She never hesitated to stand up for what she believed in, or for people who needed a voice. She loved the outdoors and went on several backpacking trips across Idaho with her sons. She was an avid Boise State football fan, always yelling at bad calls and cheering the Broncos on. She loved dogs and animals, daily feeding her backyard squirrels. You could often find her singing and dancing while she cooked, cleaned, or played with her grandchildren. Above all, she loved Jesus and her family. She was lively, ornery, and young at heart until the very end. Rosemary was a bright light in this world, and is missed and loved by so many. We love you mom, and we will see you soon!
