Walter (Wally) Lawrence Bielewicz of Mesa, AZ died June 30, 2023, following a long illness. He was born in Gary, IN on May 18, 1941. He was a 1959 graduate of Hobart High School, Hobart, IN. Wally attended the University of Tennessee, Martin, TN on a four-year football scholarship and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed at Kellwood CO, KPMG Peat Marwick and retired in 2018 from Mercy Health Systems, Chesterfield, MO. He loved to cook, fish and was an avid reader.

Wally was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan (Messick) Bielewicz, his brother Gerald Bielewicz and his parents, Walter Ladd Bielewicz and Rose (Wronko) Bielewicz. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith (Wells) Bielewicz, three children: Jeffrey Bielewicz of Clearwater, FL, Amy Bielewicz of Surprise, AZ and Christopher Bielewicz (Tammy) of Peoria, AZ and two grandchildren: Logan Bielewicz and Katana Bielewicz of Peoria, AZ, his sister Patricia Houston (Robert) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, sister-in-law Linda Bielewicz of Kokomo, IN and brother-in-law, James Wells of New Orleans, LA. Wally was 82.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following: St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project.
