Jon Mark Morlan - Class Of 1972

OBITUARY FROM STALLINGS FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE, MARCH 2009:

Jon Mark Morlan, 54, a 26 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Hobart, IN died on March 27, 2009 at the Tate Hospice House in Linthicum.

Born on May 20, 1954 in Gary, Indiana to the late Merrle and Janet Morlan, he graduated from Hobart High School in Indiana in 1972.  He joined the US Army in 1980 and served for 12 years.  He was a Sergeant and served as a medic in Desert Storm.

Mr. Morlan worked as a truck driver for Werner Truck Company for over 10 years until his illness in 2008.
He was a member of the SCA.  He enjoyed traveling with his cat, the Renaissance Festival, cooking, watching and collecting movies, and teaching himself to play musical instruments: especially the Irish Whistle and the Recorder.

He is survived by his children,  Jon Michael and Kiersten J. Morlan,  both of Lusby;  his former wife Kathy Morlan of Lusby; and his caretaker Bob Chance of Pasadena.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the home of Robert Chance. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
