OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, AUGUST 21, 2007:

Michael Lee Rada, age 53, of Hobart, IN, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, August 19, 2007.

He is survived by one son, Christopher J. Rada; mother, Lois Rada; sister, Linda McLean; nephew, Jay McLean; godmother, Hazel Kellen; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jimmie and Yvonne Smith, all of Hobart, IN. Mr. Rada was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 2002; and his father, Michael Rada.

Michael was a graduate of Hobart High School Class of 1972 and was formerly employed at Industrial Steel Construction. He was a loving and kind father and will be missed by all who knew him. His leisure time passions were tinkering in the garage and the Chicago Bears.

A memorial service for Mr. Rada will be held Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, corner of Route 51 and 7th Street, Hobart, IN. Cremation at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory will precede the memorial service. There will be no prior visitation and services will terminate at the Burns Funeral Home.
