OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, MARCH 4, 2009

Leonard A. "Lennie" Sweet age 54, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009. Lennie was born August 8, 1954 in Hammond Indiana.

Lennie was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Connie Sweet. He is survived by his daughter, Rachael Lynn Sweet; sister, Candee (Ron) Sweet Warren; devoted, loving partner, Pam; stepdaughters, Ashley and Brandie; and ex-wife, Linda Sweet. From the time he was a young boy Lennie worked with his dad at San Remo Restaurant and the other family restaurants. His real passion was music, whether playing in a band, writing music, or just sittin' around and jammin'. Everybody that knew him loved him.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Lennie's honor are appreciated to the family to help defray funeral expenses. Funeral Services for Lennie will be Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart.
