Michael L. “Mike” Gregor, age 92, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023. He was born on October 1, 1930, in Gary, IN to the late Michael and Pearl Gregor. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1949 and was a lifelong avid Brickie football fan. Mike proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On September 3, 1955, he married Joan Collins in Hobart, IN and together they raised four children. Mike liked fishing and watching birds. He worked as an industrial mechanic and had the habit of constantly keeping himself busy tinkering around the house. In May of 2017, Mike was able to participate in the Honor Flight. He was most importantly a humble family man and dedicated his life in taking care of them. Mike will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children-Michael “Dave” (Nancy) Gregor, Laura (Dan Anderson) Gregor, Sue (Jack) Foddrill; son-in-law-Jim Bowman; grandchildren-Joshua Gregor, Elyse Gregor, Joseph Gregor, Anthony Bowman, Brian (Brittany) Bowman, Kevin Bowman, Jacob Foddrill, Isabella Foddrill, Rick Foddrill, Jon Foddrill; great grandchildren-Ashton Gregor, Aiden Gregor, Ryleigh Bowman, Chase Bowman, Ella Bowman, Milo Wallace; several loving nephews, nieces, family members and friends; cat-Moe.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife-Joan Gregor; daughter-Sandy Bowman; parents-Michael and Pearl Gregor; sister-Pauline Fogel.

Memorial visitation for Mike will be Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m., at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart and then proceeding across the street from the funeral home for full military honors at the Doughboy Memorial.
