OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MARCH 12, 2009:

Mark Edwin Ferguson, age 48 of Hobart, passed away suddenly March 10, 2009.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Ferguson of Hobart; daughter, Courtney Ferguson of Hobart; parents: James and Estene Ferguson of Hobart; brother, Larry Ferguson of Hobart; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Mark was a graduate of Hobart High School and Purdue University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mark was employed as a Manager of Strack & Van Til in various capacities for 20 years. He was a member of and the Church Clerk at the Griffith Church of God. Mark was a fabulous cook with a quirky sense of humor. He was a big man who had a soft heart ... but mostly known as an absolutely wonderful father.
