Donna Grace Springman, age 73, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. She was born on September 7, 1936 in Rusk, Wisconsin the daughter of Ernest and Treva Stumke. She was married to Robert L. Springman on September 26, 1954 in Hobart. Donna was an active member of the Deep River Church of Christ, the Church Ladies Society, and a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and cleaning. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all.

Donna is survived by her loving family, husband, Robert L. Springman, Sr., Hobart; son, Robert L. (Karen) Springman, Jr., Valparaiso; daughters, Deborah (Richard) Marmor, Hobart and Lisa Springman, Lake Station; grandchildren, Kris Springman, and Ashley (Jason) Galliher; great-grandchildren, Shane Danelli and Colton Galliher; mother, Treva Jablonski, Portage; brothers, Edward (Dolly) Stumke, Wheeler, John (Donna) Hammersmith, Hobart, and Richard (Karen) Hammersmith, Portage; and other loving family and dear friends. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Stumke; and her brother, Robert Stumke.

A Visitation for Donna Springman will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Deep River Church of Christ, 7500 Grand Boulevard, Merrillville. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Memorials in Donna's memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Deep River Church of Christ.
