OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, FEBRUARY 22, 2004:

John Lawrence Ensign, age 55, of Hobart, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2004. John was a graduate of Hobart High School. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union and the Millwright Local 1043.

He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Mary Ann and one brother, David. He is survived by two sons, Jason Ensign of Tucson, AZ and John Joseph "J.J." Ensign of Merrillville; one Brother, Richard (Teresa) Ensign, Sister-in-Law Eleanor Ensign and girl-friend Shawn Jones, all of Hobart. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at 9:15 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart) (corner of Rt 51 and 7th Street), going to St. Bridget Catholic Church in Hobart for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Rev. Dominic V. Bertino, officiating. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, February 23nd, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M.
