Andrew Kaczmarek - Class Of 1944

OBITUARY FROM NW TIMES, JULY 9, 2008:

Andrew Kaczmarek, age 82, a lifelong Hobart resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Andy was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1944. He was a veteran of World War II-US Army 24th Division. He was a member of the American Legion, New Chicago Post #454. Andy retired from River Forest School System as a Bus Driver after 45 years of service.

Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Irene S, Kaczmarek; his brothers: Steve, Everettt, Frank, Phil, John, Louie and Marty Kaczmarek; and sisters: Irene Horwith and Angeline Philips. He is survived by twin daughters: Jane Bormann of Wheat- field, IN and Jean (Gino) Capellari of Demotte, IN; two grandchildren: Gino (Melissa) Capellari of Wheatfield and Chris (Wendy) Capellari; three great granddaughters: Anna, Laynie and Mia Capellari; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN with Rev. Joseph Vamos officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. New Chicago American Legion Post #454 will conduct services on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crestmark of Roselawn, 10352 N. 600 E.
