OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 19, 2007:

   Archie "Gene" E. Lundy, age 79, of Merrillville, IN, passed away Friday, November 16, 2007.

He is survived by three sons: Brian Lundy of Merrillville, IN, Greg Lundy of Hobart, IN and Kevin (Dawn) Lundy of Hobart, IN; three grandsons: Scott and Zachary Lundy and Jimmie Forrester; two brothers: Bob Lundy of Lake Station, IN and Bill (Wandy) Lundy of Portage, IN; three sisters-in-law: Mary Wilson of Fordsville, KY, Lorraine (Ken) Wallace of Hobart, IN and Joanne (Terry) Troutman of Hobart, IN; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Audrey Ann (Fitzsimmons) Lundy; and parents: Archie E. and Amy (Smith) Lundy.

Gene was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Marian Funeral Choir and a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of the Merrillville Optimist Club, a retired employee of Nason's Appliance Store, a graduate of Hobart High School and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, IN Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be offered at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 5885 Harrison Street, Merrillville, IN with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
