OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, FEBRUARY 23, 2005:

Thelma L. Reibly, age 82, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hobart, passed away at home on Feb. 22, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Reibly and brother, Joseph Marshall. Thelma was a graduate or Hobart High School and a retired secretary from U.S. Steel.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Pamela (Mark) Read; sons, Tom (Sheila) Reibly and Douglas Reibly, all of Portage; daughter, Shay (Dave) McCart of Valparaiso; five grandchildren: Rick (Jodie) Miller of Louisville, KY, Sean Reibly of Lafayette, Becky (Mike) McFadden of Portage and Jared and Jordyn McCart of Valparaiso; two step-grandchildren, Alison (Steve) Hanscom of Indianapolis and Bryan (Michelle) Read of Eugene, OR; two great-grandchildren, Blake Miller and Noah McCart; two step-great grandchildren, Carolyn and Sarah Hanscom; brother Ted (Delores) Marshall of Florida; many nieces and nephews, as well as, Jingles, her special canine friend.

A prayer service will be held at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E.7th St.,Hobart on Thursday, February 24, 2005, at 7 PM. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday 3 to 7 PM. Private interment will take place at St.Paul's Cemetery, Valparaiso on Saturday, February 26, 2005.
