Samuel Kenneth “Sam” Moore, age 20 of Hobart passed away Thursday June 14, 2012. He was a lifetime Hobart resident and a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 2011. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church. Sam was an avid athlete who played football and had a special passion for baseball. He volunteered as a 7th grade football coach and a freshman baseball coach. Sam loved music and going to D C’s Country Junction on Saturday nights.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Heidi Moore Jr., 2 brothers, Benjamin and Maxwell Moore all of Hobart, IN; grandparents, Richard and Karen Freckelton, and Sylvia Moore, 1 uncle, Scott (JoElla) Freckelton, 3 aunts, Holly (Von) Swift, Lilli (Scott) Falk, Lorri (Stephen) Davenport, and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Sam’s honor may be made to the family.

Funeral services are Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church. Arrangements completed by Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
