James “Jim” R. Ludwig, age 75, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. Jim was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1964. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Jim was a member of the American Legion Cedar Lake Lodge Post #0261. He retired from Martk Homes. Jim will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Sylvester “Vet” and Bettie (nee Fasel) Ludwig. Jim is survived by his wife of 36 years-Cathy (nee Dimick) Ludwig; children-James (Shannon) Ludwig, Jr., of Cedar Lake, Deidra Ludwig of Cedar Lake; three grandchildren-Bailey Ludwig, Kameron Ludwig, Hunter Ludwig; brothers-Raymond Ludwig, Ralph (Laurel) Ludwig, Henry (Ken Stavitzke) Ludwig, Jay Ludwig; many nieces and nephews.
