Jeff was very outgoing and friendly and made many friends throughout his life. After high School, he enlisted in the military for the next 8 years. When he left the military, he became a millwright out of local Union 1693 in Hinsdale. He enjoyed working around the yard, riding his motorcycle, and his pets. Becoming a grandparent made him happiest. He was preceded in death by his father Charles C Sandefur and his son Jeffrey Randall (Randy) Sandefur.

Jeffrey “Jeff” Sandefur, age 61, died at his Lake Station home on August 31, 2023.
A decorated Army veteran, he loved to spend his time gardening, traveling, riding his Harley, taking care of his many loved animals, particularly his two dogs Hank and Audrey, and spending time with his two grandsons. With a strong and quiet demeanor, he also had a quick wit and the ability to offer advice and honesty in a way that those close to him came to treasure. His deep love of animals and music will live on in his children, while his appetite for books and knowledge shines through in his grandsons.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Angel Davey (Washington, DC), her husband, Peter and grandson, Rocco; his daughter, Erica Cliver (Valparaiso, IN), her husband, Jon and grandson, Julian; his stepson, Lucas; his mother, Sue Alexander; his brothers: Steve Sandefur and Chris Sandefur; multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Randall “Randy” Sandefur; and his father, Charles “Chuck” Sandefur.
A Memorial Service will be held for Jeff at a later date.
