Shirley Bergman, age 82 of Chesterton, passed away on February 16, 2018 at Chesterton Manor. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Hobart, IN to George and Johanna Schmidt, both of whom preceded her in death. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Leslie Bergman of California, Sandra Bergman of California, and Anne Bergman of Chesterton; her grandchildren: Shawn Bergman of California, John Bergman of Chesterton, Jeff DeGard of Chesterton, Lauren Lemanski Bergman of Michigan City; and by her siblings: Kathleen Council of Hobart, Tom (Kathy) Schmidt of Lake Station, John Schmidt of Portage, Anabelle Trojan of Indianapolis, and Jim Schmidt of California.

She is also preceded in death by her son, Vernon Bergman.

There will be no services held at this time.
