Ella M. Brechner (Hinchley) age 93, of Portage, IN passed away Thursday, May 05, 2016. She was born April 16, 1923 in Moundsville, Ohio to Earl and Bessie Hinchley. Ella regularly attended Family Bible Church in Portage. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a past Secretary at Henry Evans School for many years. She loved doing crafts at Lake Station Community Center and participated in Craft shows throughout northwest Indiana. She loved reading and writing poems.

Ella is survived by her four sons, Ronald (Charlotte) Brechner, Glen (Jacqueline) Brechner, Dennis (Donna) Brechner and Randall (Diane) Brechner; seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Brechner; infant daughter, Penny; her parents, Earl and Bessie Hinchley; four brothers, Thomas, Noel, John “Bud” Hinchley and Pete Wilfong; and sister, Gertrude Heims.
