Verna May Ramsay Shaw, age 93, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Except for ten years in Florida, she lived her entire life in the area of Hobart and Portage, Indiana.

Verna was survived by one son, Terry L. (Patricia) Shaw of Portage; one daughter, Janet R. Shaw of Portage; four grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Gail) Ramsay of Inverness, Florida; two sisters: Phyllis (Robert) McDonald of Chesterton and Beverly (Jerry) Fitzgerald of Portage, Indiana.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Shaw; two sisters: Esther Bivens and Joyce Stanfield; and two brothers: Donald and George Ramsay.

Friends were invited to meet with the family on Monday April 09, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral services was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart, Indiana with Pastor Schmidt officiating. Cremation followed the services & interred with husband.
