Sharon Rae Bailey, age 79, of Hobart, IN, passed away with her husband by her side on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Sharon was born in Gary, IN on April 19, 1944 to the late Howard and Lucille (nee Taylor) Spero.  She attended Hobart High School and later earned her diploma.  Sharon married the love of her life, Earl “Jack” Bailey on June 15, 1963 and spent 62 wonderful years together.  They are members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Sharon is survived by her husband: Earl; daughters: Julie Bailey and Kari (Michael) Mayer; and siblings: Dennis (Joanne) Spero, Debby (Shaun) Skeffington, and Howard (Bethany) Spero; and many nieces and nephews. 

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Lucille Spero.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd., Hobart) on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1:00-5:00 P.M.  A funeral service will be held at Rees Hobart Chapel on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.  Sharon will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN.
