OBITUARY FROM CRESTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (GALLATIN, TN) WEBSITE:
Fonda J. Rushing Broadaway, age 67 of Gallatin, Tennessee and formerly of Hobart, Indiana passed away December 31, 2018 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Broadaway was born on August 30, 1951 in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Eugene Talmadge Rushing and Helen Baggett Rushing. Fonda was born and raised in Corinth, later moving to Indiana where she lived for many years, and finally to Tennessee to be close to her children.
She loved her grandchildren more than anything, was a member of VFW Post 5365 in Hobart, IN for many years, enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, going to flea markets, and slugburgers-a Corinth, Mississippi specialty. Fonda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Rushing. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel Broadaway; son, Edward Broadaway (Karen); daughter, Heather Broadaway (Elizabeth); grandsons; Jackson, Blake and Tennyson Broadaway; sisters, Charlotte Rushing Butler (Darrell), Barbara Rushing Perkins, and Michelle Rushing (Tina); faithful companion and puppy, Missy; lifelong best friend, Beth Barney; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
