Joel E. Pence, 64, of Winamac, IN passed away at 4:00 am Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 22, 1953 to Everett and Marian Bowdin Pence in Gary, IN. On April 1, 1992, Joel married Vickie Lewis Bennett in Hobart, IN. She survives. Joel was a member of the Hobart Jaycees. He enjoyed music, especially bluegrass and King Crimson. Joel was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was needlepoint. Joel thoroughly enjoyed his recent cross-country trip with Vickie and “the cousins”. He loved his family very much and will be sadly missed.
