OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 27, 2016:
Thomas Wayne Bell, 68, of Valparaiso passed away peacefully on November 22, 2016. He was born December 14, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to Thomas and Stella Frances (Skaggs) Bell. Thomas graduated from Hobart High School and earned three bachelor's degrees in his lifetime. He made his career working at U.S. Steel and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Valparaiso. Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1966-1969 on the USS Princeton.
On June 28, 1999 in Broward County, Florida, Thomas married Cindy L. Schroeder-Bell, who survives, along with their children: Amy (Mark) Norrod of Valparaiso, Adam (Nicole) Bell of Chesterton, Nicholas York of Bloomington, IN, Kambria Bell of Valparaiso, and Luke Thomas Bell of Valparaiso. Other survivors include four grandchildren, and sister: Linda McGar of Crofton, KY. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Nora Hall and Laura Lee Bell.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1700 Monticello Park Drive, Valparaiso, with a memorial visitation on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso and Saturday at church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
