OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JANUARY 5, 2016:

Mark Thomas Adelman, age 58 of Marion, IN passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2015. Mark was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1976. Mark was a Proud United States Navy Veteran who served from 1977-1983, he received a Navy Expeditionary Medal in 1979. He worked for the Salvation Army off and on for many years. Mark was happiest when he spent time with his family, and loved spending time at the Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Joyce Ginter; and sisters: Peggy Wilson, and Polly Koesters; and brother; Clifton Adelman. He is survived by his sister, Carrie Adelman Ledyard; nieces: Laura (Dan) Walstra, Ashlee Adelman, Anna (Shawn) Rassam; nephews: Luke (Amanda) Ledyard, Daniel Ledyard, Cliff Adelman; special aunts, uncles, cousins: Jim (Patty) Rouse, Deborah Mendenhall, Wanda (Randy) Smith, Jeremy (Erin) Miller, Jimmy (Alexis) Rouse; Mark adored his great nieces and nephews: Sydnee and Tyson Walstra, Strauss and Killian Rassam, Kenzie and Landon Ledyard, Lincoln, Lilli, Leo, Laik Miller, Baylee and Dax Rouse.

There will be a private Memorial Service held for Mark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hobart Food Pantry P.O. Box 394 Hobart, IN 46342 or Disabled American Veterans.
