Lawrence "Larry" Fowble - Class Of 1963

OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE, OCTOBER 10, 2015:

LAWRENCE A. FOWBLE, age 70, of Hobart, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 27, 1945 in Gary to the late Don and Marion Fowble. Larry was a 1963 graduate of Hobart High School then served in the US Air Force. He retired from Midwest Products Co. as a supervisor after 38 years and also worked at Precision Cartridge for 8 years. In his free time he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gunsmith. Larry ran the Tuesday night PPC League at Blythe’s. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara (nee Allen); daughter, Gerrie (Eric) Hurt of Bowling Green, KY; son, Richard (Samantha) Fowble of Hobart; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Hurt, Zoey and Zachary Fowble; brother, Jim (Sue) Fowble of Hobart; sisters-in-law, Judy Fowble of FL and Rose Fowble of Valparaiso; several loving nieces and nephews.
 
He was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Bob and Bill Fowble; and sister, Barbara Ray.
 
A funeral service for Larry will be Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., with Pastor Rebecca Smith officiating. Cremation to follow services.
