Darry's Obituary

Darry Michael Dickey age 81 passed away on November 29th, 2024. He was born on September 20th, 1943, to the late Dyrck and Jane (nee Strole) Dickey in Gary, Indiana. Darry was a 1961 Hobart High School graduate and a 1966 graduate of Purdue University where he studied to become a pharmacist. Darry had been a Florida resident since 1975. He was a pharmacist at Heartland Pharmacy in Lake Placid Florida. Darry enjoyed traveling and sailing.

He is survived by his loving sister Cynthia Lyman, nephew Craig (Cary) Schiess of Hobart, Indiana, great nieces Audrey Slicker, Madalynn Slicker, and Ronie Bartlett, great nephew Joshua Tomczak and special cousins John Dickey and Pat and Nancy Somers. Darry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Timothy Dickey and niece Carolyn (Kari) Schiess.

In keeping with Darry's wishes the family will celebrate his life privately.
