Kurt Kuechenberg - Class Of 1969

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, OCTOBER 23, 2014:

Kuechenberg, Kurt L. Age 63, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Kurt was born December 19, 1950 in Gary, IN to the late Albert and Margaret (Rogyom) Kuechenberg. Kurt retired from U.S. Steel as a refrigeration specialist. Kurt was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident that loved his family, playing pool and seeing the world. If he wasn't busy helping someone or with a project he was setting out on adventures into the wide world or great west. Kurt will be remembered by his family for more than just his cookouts, grilling, country music and riding in the wind.

Kurt is survived by his mother, Margaret Kuechenberg of Hobart; four children, Rodney Krueger of Lake Station, April (Joseph) Geary of Valparaiso, Nicole Kuechenberg of Ft. Wayne and Ray Peek of Lake Station; a brother, Dan Kuechenberg of Valparaiso; four grandchildren, Eric Burr, Victoria Krueger, Joseph Geary, IV and Michael Geary; many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Kuechenberg.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a 4:00 p.m. prayer service. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342 with Deacon Richard Huber officiating.
