Sandra J Manning, age 60, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Saint Mary’s Medical Center. She was born on June 7, 1957 to the late Joseph and Gwendolyn (nee Carpenter) Shirk Sr. She worked in Human Resources at Rohm –Haas and also for Prudential. Sandra married Phillip Manning, the love of her life, on June 2, 1990 in Hobart. She was a very loving person, who loved spending her time with her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 27 years, Phillip Manning; brothers, Joe (Lisa) Shirk Jr. of Illinois; sister, Gail (Jim) Robertson of North Carolina; numerous nephews and nieces; brother-in-law, Bob Kuchta and her furry companions, Fifi and Radar and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tony and Nicky Shirk; sister, Lori Lewis.A funeral service for Sandra will take place Monday, July 31, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 from 12:00 pm until time of service at Rees funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are preferred to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829 Arlington, VA.
