OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, AUGUST 18, 2015:

Lila M. Seelen, 86, of Anderson, passed away August 15, 2015 at her residence in Anderson. She was born on January 1, 1929 in Hobart and resided in Anderson. Lila graduated from Hobart High School, Class of 1946, Anderson School of Practical Nursing School where she graduated with an LPN degree, and Anderson University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where she served as a Dental Assistant. She retired after 15 + years from East Central Legal Services where she worked as an Ombudsman. She was a member of American Red Cross of Central Indiana and the National Neurofibromatosis Foundation.

Lila is survived by her daughter, Diane Seelen of Anderson; three sons: Len Seelen of Key West, FL, Michael D (Marsha) Seelen of Columbus, OH, and Luke (Lori) Seelen of Hartford City, IN; sister, Donna Anduskey of Valparaiso, IN; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; Several nieces. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Seelen; son, Van Seelen; father, Len Spoor; mother, Lila (Palmateer) Spoor; brother, Ralph Spoor.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana. Services will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Page officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
