OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE:
Barbara June Coleman, age 73, of Hobart passed away Wednesday April 18, 2018 at St Mary Medical Center. Barbara was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also worked at Anco and Inland Steel. She was a member of VFW Post 5365 Auxiliary. Barbara was born May 31, 1944 in Central City, Kentucky to the late Marvin and Ruth (Wilkins) Oglesby.
Barbara is survived by her three children, Jeffery (Priscilla) Coleman of Hobart, Tammy (William) Carroll of North Carolina and Vicki Jo (Mike) Raymond of Gary; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Dewayne (Robin) Oglesby of Hobart; one brother-in-law, Melvin “Red” Daniels; and many other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Coleman; her parents; two brothers, Phillip and Bennie (Marge) Oglesby; and three sisters, Janetta Daniels, Ann (Walter) Atwell and Theresa (Jimmy) Wherry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm Sunday April 22, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342 with Rev. Donald Good Officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home. Barbara’s cremated remains will be buried in a private service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Barbara’s family in lieu of flowers.
