Joseph Jacob (Beck) Angotti, 78 of Franklin passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Joe was born on July 16, 1943, in Bloomington, Indiana to Walter C. and Marsetta F. (Pruitt) Beck. After the death of his parents, he was adopted by Ugo and Margaret Angotti of Hobart, Indiana. He married Barbara Ann (Daugherty) Angotti on July 22, 1967. She lovingly survives.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Lynn (Phillip James) Reed of Brownsburg, Indiana and Pamela Sue Angotti of Bloomington, Indiana, as well as two brothers, John Daniel Beck of New Castle and Nathan Eugene Campbell of Bloomington, Indiana and two sisters, Sara Ruth Jenkins of McLeansville, North Carolina and Rachel Angotti of Portage, Indiana. His parents and adoptive parents preceded him in passing as did numerous half-brothers and half-sisters.
Joe retired after working thirty years in civil service at the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Crane, Indiana as a mathematician, mathematical statistician, and operations research analyst. He received his B.S. in Education from Indiana University. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin.
Prior to moving to Franklin, Joe and Barbara lived in Bloomington for thirty-nine years. While there, he was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the Hoosier Lines Model Railroad Club.
Rev. David Owens will conduct a celebration of Joe’s life on Friday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Memorial Chapel at the Otterbein Senior Life Community, 1070 W. Jefferson Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131 with visitation on Friday, May 13 from 1:00 p.m. to service time at 2:00 p.m. at the Wright Chapel. Patrons must enter the main entrance at Otterbein to be screened. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
