Dorothy A. Lautzenhiser, age 86 of Hobart formerly of East St. Louis, passed away at home on Sept. 12, 2009.

She worked at Elinor's Dress Shop for 23 years as a clerk. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Elks Lodge #1152, and the First United Methodist Church of Hobart.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Rufle "Jr." Lautzenhiser, Jr., and Son Kim Lautzenhiser. Dorothy is survived by her daughter – Niki (Sonny) Bell of Hobart; 2 grandchildren – Steve (Cathy) Bell of Crown Point and Todd (Tiffany) Bell of Hobart; 7 great-grandchildren – Brandon, Aaron, Cameron, Carson, Mikayla Bell and Dylan and Mytchel Galoozis; and brother-in-law – Robert Lautzenhiser.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. Rev. Jonathan Gosser officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
