Elaine M. Broschart (nee Reisinger), age 86, of Portage, IN formerly of Crown Point, IN passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014.

Elaine is survived by 4 children: Michael Broschart of Roscoe, South Dakota, Renee (Virgil) Tidwell of Byron, Georgia, Jan (John) Fink of Wheatfield, Indiana and Lauren (Carol Samuels) Edelen of Portage, Indiana; 4 grandchildren: Terry (Kerry) Jendon, Michael (Katy) Shuttz, Kristina (Adam) Fletcher and Carl (Marsha) Edelen; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother: Dr. Eugene (June) Reisinger of Hobart, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Broschart; parents: Marie and Virgil Reisinger; 2 sisters: Betty Pisarski and Eleanor Armon Trout; and granddaughter: Kimberly Shuttz. Elaine was an avid bridge player and loved reading books. She was a member of ETA XI Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and was a past president of the Women's Club of Northern Indiana.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Geisen Funeral and Cremation Services, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon with Fr.
